We aim to respond as quickly as possible. Please include your Shopify store domain, what you were trying to export or sync, and any error message shown in SyncMate.

Getting started

To start using SyncMate:

  • Install SyncMate from Shopify.
  • Open SyncMate inside Shopify Admin.
  • Choose the Shopify data types you want to use.
  • Choose fields for the export or sync.
  • Pick a destination: Excel, CSV, or Google Sheets.
  • Run an export or configure a scheduled sync.

Exporting data

Choose one or more data types, then select the fields and filters you want before exporting. Each selected type becomes a worksheet in Excel or a CSV file in ZIP exports.

Starter includes Orders and Products. Pro and Business include all supported data types.

Downloading Excel or CSV files

After an export finishes, the file appears in History. Click Download to save the file. Excel exports download as .xlsx files, and CSV exports download as ZIP files.

Downloads are available for a limited time depending on plan history retention. If a download fails, retry from History or contact support.

Google Sheets sync

Connect your Google account and choose Google Sheetsas the destination. SyncMate creates or updates sheets using your selected data types and fields.

One selected data type maps to its own tab or sheet structure where applicable. Google access is used for connected SyncMate workflows.

Scheduled syncs

Keep selected Shopify data updated in Google Sheets. Daily or hourly schedules are available.

Scheduled syncs use the selected data types, fields, and filters. You can pause, resume, or delete syncs from the app.

History and downloads

History shows recent jobs, status, destination, and safe error messages where available.

Data and privacy

  • SyncMate uses read-only Shopify access.
  • SyncMate does not edit products, orders, customers, or inventory in your store.
  • SyncMate exports or syncs only selected data types and fields.
  • Google Sheets access is used only for connected spreadsheet workflows.
  • Generated export files are retained for a limited time based on plan.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Google connection fails

Try: Check that the Google account approval completed and retry connecting.

Problem

Export is blocked by plan limits

Try: Reduce rows, filters, selected fields, or upgrade plan.

Problem

File download does not start

Try: Open History, retry Download, refresh SyncMate, then contact support.

Problem

Scheduled sync did not run

Try: Check sync status, Google connection, and whether the sync is paused.

Problem

Wrong data in spreadsheet

Try: Check selected data types, fields, and filters.
